If you would have stayed, we would have only gotten in your way.

God said “Come” Girl go! And know your voice will live with us, every step of the way.

Yes… Whitney.. We will always love you.

We will always love you.

You. Beautiful, darling, you. Hmm.
Bittersweet memories
that is all you’re leaving with me.
So, goodbye. Please, had to cry.
We both know we were then what, you need.

And we will always love you.
I will always love you.

(Instrumental solo)

We hope heaven treats you kind
And we hope you have all you’ve dreamed of.
And we wish to you, peace and happiness.
But above all this, we wish you love.

And we will always love you.
we will always love you.
we will always love you.
we will always love you.
we will always love you.
We, we will always love you.

You, darling, I love you.
Ooh, we’ll always, we’ll always love you. ………

I usually have so much to say. But tonight I am silenced along with one of the greatest voices of all time, that means before us and after we ourselves are long dead.

Ms. Whitney Elizabeth Houston (August 9, 1963 – February 11, 2012) Born in Newark N.J. singer, actress, producer, and model.

One of her first T.V. appearances was alongside the Late Legendary Nell Carter in the sitcom “Gimmie A Break” She was the oldest Daughter “Katie’S” friend. They opened a boutique together; Whitney sported a tight Jheri Curl. It was the 80s and all the black stars had stock in Curl Activator. “Just let you’re soul glow” remember that from “Coming to America”

(Whitney Houston, was not in that film.) Moving on…

In 2009. the Guinness World Records cited her as the most-awarded female act of all time.[3] Her list of awards includes two Emmy Awards, six Grammy Awards, 30 Billboard Music Awards, 22 American Music Awards, among a total of 415 career awards as of 2010. Houston was also one of the world’s best-selling music artists, having sold over 170 million albums, singles and videos worldwide. Inspired by prominent soulsingers in her family, including her mother Cissy Houston, cousins Dionne Warwick Also caught with pot on a plane “ and Dee Dee Warwick, and her godmother Aretha Franklin, Houston began singing with New Jersey church’s junior gospel choir at age 11. Her Father John Houston a prominent New Jersey Preacher. After she began performing alongside her mother in night clubs in the New York City area, she was discovered by Arista Records label head Clive Davis. WE LOVE YOU CLIVE. God Bless you and Thank you soooo Muchh. For pulling Whitney together so our selfish asses could squeeze one more album out of her. It was soo wonderful while it lasted. You didn’t let her “Go Out Like That”

She went out with LOVE.

Whitney Houston released seven studio albums and three movie soundtrack albums, all of which have diamond, multi-platinum, platinum or gold certification. (Compliments of Wikipedia)

Soo Make sure you include all this shit too when you start talking shit about her being a drug addict n’shit.. Moving on….

Because ‘WAIT’ There’s more.

Whitney Houston IS THE ONLY artist (You betta work bitch) to chart seven consecutive No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hits

“Saving All My Love for You”

Who were you saving your love for? Who do you think about when you hear this one?

“How Will I Know” ???

Remember being that young? What was that persons name? I was 13, and I wrot and answer to that sone called “you’ll know when you see me” it was a huge hit in japan.

“Greatest Love of All”

I define my life by the words of this song:
I believe the children are our are future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children’s laughter remind us how we used to be
Everybody searching for a hero
People need someone to look up to
I never found anyone who fulfill my needs
A lonely place to be
So I learned to depend on me
I decided long ago, never to walk in anyone’s shadows
If I fail, if I succeed
At least I’ll live as I believe
No matter what they take from me
They can’t take away my dignity
Because the greatest love of all
Is happening to me
I found the greatest love of all
Inside of me
The greatest love of all
Is easy to achieve
Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all
I believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children’s laughter remind us how we used to be
And if by chance, that special place
That you’ve been dreaming of
Leads you to a lonely place
Find your strength in love

(my mother used to change the end of this song and sing “find your strength in God”)

Beautiful.

Did you hear that? If not read it again.

“I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)”

YES! WE ALL DID AND STILL DO…..

“Didn’t We Almost Have It All”

Yes. Almost. We know you must have really loved him. No other reason for you to have …

“So Emotional”

I can still picture the person who I looked at and said. Every Time.. :I gotta watch you wali in the room baby.. I gotta watch you walk out. I like the animal way that you move and when you talk….. I just. Watch your mouth” Damn Right Whitney.

“Where Do Broken Hearts Go” ?

Let me know. Because tonight mine needs a home.

Whitney Houston was the second artist behind Elton John and the only female artist to have two number-one Top Billboard 200Album awards (formerly “Top Pop Album”) on the Billboard magazine year-end charts.

Whitney Houston’s 1985 debut album Whitney Houston, became the best-selling debut album by a female act at the time of its release. The album was named Rolling Stone‘s best album of 1986, and was ranked at number 254 on Rolling Stone‘s list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. Eat that haters.

Her second studio album Whitney (1987), became the first album by a female artist to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart. More for you fat gut haters.

Can you even count the drugs, or count the money you spent on the drugs or even get back the time that you spent jumping and sweating or crying to this womans music? NEVER.

Houston’s crossover appeal on the popular music charts as well as her prominence on MTV, starting with her video for “How Will I Know“, influenced several African-American female artists to follow in her footsteps.

Houston’s first acting role was as the star of the feature film The Bodyguard (1992). Remember that Kevin Costner thaught that Madonnas Blond Ambition, was “Neat” Whitney got the part. The songs. EVERYTHING.

The film’s original soundtrack won the 1994 Grammy Award for Album of the Year. Its lead single “I Will Always Love You“, became the best-selling single by a female artist in music history. Not to mention the murder of the song at funerals and weddings. Who will sing it at hers? Only Dolly, should be allowed to or Cissy.

With that album, Whitney Houston became the first act (solo or group, male or female) to sell more than a million copies of an album within a single week period. Two snapps up, and a ticket on the North East Corridor, through New Jersey.

The album makes her the only female act in the top 10 list of the best-selling albums of all time, at number four. Houston continued to star in movies and contribute to their soundtracks, including the films Waiting to Exhale (1995) Who’d you see that with? The Preacher’s Wife (1996).The Preacher’s Wife soundtrack became the best-selling gospel album in history.

I BELIEVE IN MIRIACLES? Sickening. Just made you wanna die. Shall I go on?

Three years after the release of her fourth studio albumMy Love Is Your Love (1998), she renewed her recording contract with Arista Records.[11] She released her fifth studio album Just Whitneyin 2002, and the Christmas-themed One Wish: The Holiday Album in 2003. In which she actually recorded a song with her lovely daughter, My hear goes out to you Bobbi Christina. I never want to lose my mom. I can’t imagine how you must feel. May God give you strength. Bless you.

In 2009, Whitney Houston released her seventh studio album I Look to You.

Thank you Clive. Thank you Whitney for coming back to us. But now, with a heavy heart and tears in my eyes, We have to let you go. You are a child of God. Blessed and Highly favored. You sing only for the Lord now but we will always have your voice..

“It’s not right.. But it’s okay…”

It took me ten minutes to write this last line. Because, I don’t want to believe it.

Today.. Just after 3pm, On February 11, 2012, The day before The Grammys. Whitney Elizabeth Houston died of unknown causes at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. She was a guest of her mentor Clive Davis. Clive was having a Pre Grammy party. The party went on tonight…

Whitney Houston died scheduled to perform…

“learning to love yourself, Is the greatest gift of all”

We feel like proud parents. Nick Vasey – one of the original FUCM crew of wordsmiths – is about to see his first novel ‘Roppongi’ on the virtual shelves of the biggest bookstore on the planet Amazon. It’s official release will be in Tokyo, but you can purchase it from Feb 11th here.

Enough said…here is what we thought of it…

Roppongi, Tokyo. In a shadowy but glamorous world designed for maximum hedonism, things and people are not always what they seem.

In this, his first novel, Nick Vasey deftly portrays the mindset and experiences of a veteran traveller, the happy-go-lucky protagonist, Zack.

Woven into this epic tale are the comings and goings of an eclectic array of characters who inhabit the mean-streets and pleasure-domes of Roppongi. In peeling back the layers of personalities and agendas via exploring the working lives of Roppongi insiders in various environments, it seems Vasey has pulled off the difficult job of narrating a multi-faceted novel of good and evil’s ‘shades of grey,’ without becoming overly sentimental, or judgmental.

If you have not been to Roppongi, this novel will either encourage or deter you in equal measure, depending on your own predilections. In the meantime, we can certainly salute the emergence of what may yet prove to be a cult adventure-travel novel on a par with Alex Garland’s ‘The Beach’ or Gregory David Roberts’ ‘Shantaram.’

If I ate chicken, i’d fill my face with beefed up bird while dippin that shit in Peri Peri sauce! If only to show support for an ad that downright slaps the bitch out of Zimbabwean dictator Bob Mugabe.

Upon release in South Africa, the ad was almost immediately pulled after the next door neighbours starting issuing threats…of death, and once pulled, those threats kept coming. I can see why; the ad does specifically detail some true life memories from Mugabe’s past. He did enjoy the odd super-soak-off with Muammar; singing the nutbush with Chairman Mao; creating sand angels with Saddam (unless they’re a pair of breasts i’m seeing); pushing P.W. Botha’s swing and a tank-replacing-boat rework of a Titanic scene with our old mass murdering friend Idi.

Not a fan of your food Nando’s, but kudos on the ad.

Joe Ransom’s debut album Snow from Different Cities deserves recognition for its musical maturity and diversity. Having been released on a small Melbourne based record label (Shy Donkey Music), the album is by no means ‘pop’ music, although unlike a lot of up and coming indie bands, Joe Ransom’s music is very accessible, and it has been written and recorded with a wide audience in mind. Quite a number of Melbourne based musicians contribute to give the recording its full, very polished sound.

The album is definitely an easy listen, and it’s impossible to feel stressed whilst or after listening to it. The vibe is positive and the music and lyrics, although very sad at times, are on the whole uplifting. The songs deal with new experiences, and have an overall theme of travelling around the world. Mr Ransom’s song writing is sharp, and the music helps to colour the range between euphoria, awe, and excitement, which are juxtaposed with the inevitable alienation, sadness, and loneliness that come with being in a new place.

The album is an epic journey from start to finish, and the talent that shines through is unmistakable and cannot be dismissed. For me, it’s a wonderful thing to listen to something new that I actually like, and sometimes it takes some physical searching and word of mouth to find the best new music. The music industry, to my mind, has never been in such a shambles, and much of the music we hear would never have made it onto the radio twenty years ago. Standards have slipped and greed has taken over, but it is good to know that true musicians haven’t given up on the world, and their gift is more congenial than ever. Joe Ransom’s act deserves recognition, and above all, gratification.

Joe Ransom will be launching his debut album Snow from Different Cities at the Northcote Social Club on the 2nd October 2011 from 2pm ‘til 6pm.

Haven’t seen it? Ask any male in their 30s and they’ll know what we’re talking about…free soft porn, when you’re a 15 year old with a rub off fixation!

Where were we; yes…Windowlicker. A clip that resonates with all disenfranchised youth trying to pick up a pair of nasty-ass hookers from a side street in a cranky hood.

It got us thinking; let’s give our readers the opportunity to waste an hour of their work time viewing some of the phattest Aphex Twin music videos created. Just a heads’ up, the dude-chic-biatches are seriously gruesome and will cause limpage in the crotch department.

No this isn’t trash as in a tip filled with peoples’ useless crap…unless your parents were James Cameron, or George Lucas or…wait, scratch George Lucas; I couldn’t picture him throwing 50s Hollywood glamour on the set of the death star! By glamour, I’m talking haberdashery, glassware, soft furnishings, mirrors, pictures, jewellery, toys, books, clothing and hats. Picture a shop where everything evokes a memory of a bygone era. Mad Men meets Driving Miss Daisy…one great big home for props; and not surprisingly they can get almost anything you require…as a prop; you just need to mention what you need. Whether it’s a wedding, a magazine editorial, or a movie set…this is the Trash you want. BN

ED: George Lucas, we will always hate you for Jar Jar Binx!

I remember the first words that fell out of my mouth just after watching the original Planet of the Apes with my dad: ‘how did the apes get horses on their planet?’…I was seven.

What I didn’t realise at the time was that the planet they were on was Earth…and my dad chose not to introduce me to such an essential piece of information; feeling that I should have worked it out myself. Dad, I was seven…I was never going to work it out; I hadn’t even worked out what the rubber things in square packets were that I kept finding in your side drawer whenever I snuck some coin from your wallet. I distinctly recall stomping off to my room royally pissed that I’d been forced to watch an old ‘classic’ with absolutely no point, and an ending that made about as much sense as a bum with a piece of cardboard that read ‘spare some sense’.

It only took about a year for me to work out the use for the contents of the square packets; it took about three more years before I got my head around the point of the movie. That point – a pretty damn pointy point – also happened to make the ending one of the coolest I’d ever witnessed:

Colonel George Taylor (Charlton Heston) catches sight of something sticking out of the sand on the beach. He falls from his horse screaming to the sky. The camera pans out to show the Statue of Liberty half-buried, all clapped out and corroded. That’s when he realises he has been on Earth the whole time. Humanity destroyed itself and apes became the dominant species.

“Maniacs! You finally blew it all up!!!” Taylor screams. “God damn you all to hell!”

So, how did it get to this? Well that’s where Rise of the Planet of the Apes comes in. True to its name, the 2011 variation introduces practical reasoning behind the apes’ ability to survive through a human apocalypse, how they came to speak, and why there are horses on ‘their planet’.

It may not be the best film ‘ever’ created, but it’s pretty damn good…and does the original author Pierre Boulle far more justice than the shit stain that was Tim Burton’s 2001 reboot of the 1968 classic. Rupert Wyatt (the director) manages to blend reasonable acting performances from his human cast with far better performances from his photoreal CG primates…to get to an end result that should kick off a whole new franchise.

Set roughly around the present day, Rise of the Planet of the Apes follows Will Rodman (James Franco), a scientist at a privately owned lab in San Francisco, who has been working on a cure for Alzheimer’s – a disease of which his father is afflicted – for in excess of five years. He finally notes a breakthrough in ‘Bright Eyes’; a test chimp and suggests to the facility director that the time is right for human trials. Just as he is selling the concept to a bunch of potential investors, Bright Eyes goes on a bit of a rampage; smashing all manner of shit up before jumping through a window onto the boardroom table around which those investors are seated. The chimp is promptly shot dead, and the investors pull out. Amongst the mess of laboratory they find Bright Eye’s cute as a button little son. Will secretly takes ‘Caesar’ home and not long after a few bottle of the drug to treat his father (John Lithgow).

The power of the drug to not only stimulate brain development, but to pass down the DNA chain becomes evident in Caesar, although – after a brief improvement – has the reverse effect on the father.

As Will goes about creating a stronger strain of the drug, Caesar lands himself in a simian ‘juvi hall’ and it’s from there on that both Will and Caesar begin the journey toward unwittingly changing the natural order of the world…all while subtle glimpses of a shuttle launch to Mars slide up on random screens in a few backgrounds throughout.

Only released in 2D, ‘Rise’ is the type of film that downloaders will regret holding out on. Caesar, played by Andy Serkis – of Gollum fame – using the Weta motion capture technology, is so nuanced that he allows his primate avatar more emotional variety than any of his human co-stars. This invites audience sympathy in such hefty doses that most are willing to witness the destruction of the human race if it means Caesar and his peeps get to continue climbing trees.

Some silly-ass fools may miss what would be considered the most crucial piece of the future franchise puzzle if they’re the types who have a penchant for being the first out the door…stay in your seat and enjoy some credits. BN
